There’s No Excuse Not To Know Where Our Food Comes From And What We Are Eating

For the past few years, I’ve been very conscious about what I buy and what I put in my mouth. And while I’ve noticed a definite increase at farmer’s markets and local stores, there needs to be more of an increase.

If you are not consciously supporting the environment and your health by choosing foods carefully, then you are missing out. It feels good to eat consciously and be aware of the impact you are having on the world and know exactly where your food is coming from and how it was grown.

Ignorance is not bliss. It feels much better to be aware.

My friend brought this video to my attention on Facebook. She is quite aware of how we eat in our home and she is also becoming more conscious about how she eats.

My question is this: If you have the choice to be aware and choose wisely, why wouldn’t you?

Price is not really a factor. Maybe in the past, but not anymore. The price is a few cents more, at most, and often we find deals that put highly processed or unhealthy food to shame.

Convenience may be a factor, but only if you are lazy.

Take this kid’s cue and start eating smarter.
