Some people think a raw vegan diet would not sustain a person for a long time. In fact, they think that it would cause all kinds of problems in the body because of a lack of nutrients. Many people who eat the diet would beg to differ.

Now, I don’t claim to be an expert on the raw vegan diet. My husband and I did go vegan from vegetarian for a while (I am a vegetarian).  So I know a few things about getting nutrients from a vegan diet, and as far as I know ‘raw’ means not cooking food over a certain temperature. A vegan restaurant in our town used to serve a raw vegan dinner once a month and it was amazing!

Anywase, what can you do on a raw vegan diet? I found a few videos that might surprise you.

You Can Be A World Class Bodybuilder

My husband always talks about bodybuilders who are vegetarian or vegan, and how much healthier they look as they age as opposed to meat eating bodybuilders. But he has never mentioned anyone that ate a raw vegan diet – at least, I don’t think I’ve ever heard him mention anyone. But, today I found the following video.

This guy is pretty serious about following a healthy diet, right down to his water (which is pretty darn important). Just listen to him talk, check out what he makes for breakfast, and you will become at least partially as enthusiastic as him.

You Can Run A Marathon – Every Day Of The Year!

I was scrolling through some videos today and found two people, a 65-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man, who ran 366 marathons in 366 days on a raw vegan diet.

Now, there is a lot of debate over whether or not running marathons every day is healthy, but I would have to say it is much healthier than sitting on the couch every day… Then again, my nana lived well into her 90’s and spent most of her life watching soap operas and gambling in front of a casino machine.

But my point is that a raw vegan diet sustained them for this duration, and it shows that you can survive and thrive on a raw vegan diet.

Moreover, the woman in the video was diagnosed with cancer, and since she has changed her lifestyle, she is thriving.

To listen to them, they obviously promote natural living.  The amazing thing is during the mmarathonsthey sustained major injuries but kept running! Learn how the raw food diet helped them do all of this.

You Can Look And Feel Great!

Mimi Kirk is a great example of this. She is 75-years old (turns 76 in September, so she may already be 76) and she looks better than pretty much everyone I know at that age. On the Steve Harvey show, she was estimated to be 55-years-old! Her spirit is obviously much younger than many people at that age, and she is known as crediting a raw vegan diet.
